ThornbridgeA welcome return for this fine trio who last appeared here in January 2011.

Thornbridge simply make beautiful music, taking inspiration from the folk song tradition throughout the British Isles as well as more contemporary sources. They write and arrange their own songs too. They’ve appeared at clubs and festivals from Minehead to Grimsby and Swanage to Penrith.  The line-up of Barbara and Andy Rusbridge and Guy Hawthorn bring three quite different voices together to make a distinctive “Thornbridge” sound that is rich and complex, injecting new life into old songs with expression, subtle harmony and gentle instrumentation.  si Barron

Si Barron is a folk singer, songwriter, and superb self-taught musician based in Somerset. He has a deep relationship with English traditional music and a gift for turning time-honoured melodies into foot stomping anthems on guitar, dulcimer or pedal organ.
