juey_brewer bluesA guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica wielding musician brought up on a musical diet of 50s and 60s rock and roll combined with country, bluegrass and cajun, then perhaps it was inevitable that a love for singing and playing music (although a tormented flute teacher may disagree) has created a live performance described by others as “one of those moments when I get goosebumps” (Paul Moss, BBC Introducing).

Self penned songs stem from a passion for nature, researching family history, war, love, loss and murder. Three songs from the EP “…Before the Devil Catches Me” reached the semi finals of the UK Songwriting Contest.


Also joining us for the support slot is Pewsey’s Harmonious featuring Verity Sharp who we already know from The Yirdbards.

Friendship and pleasure are the main driving forces for this vocal quartet from the Vale of Pewsey. A shared love of harmony singing has led them to explore a wide range of repertoire from the traditional to the more contemporary – and even on occasion indulge in a little Gaelic and Estonian! Harmonious are Sylvie Clayden, Jackie Macbeth, Rachael Schneider and Verity Sharp with occasional backup from guitarist Patrick Randall.
