Phil KingPhil King

Always a pleasure to welcome back one of the most talented artists in the south west. Phil King is without doubt one of life’s complete performers.  He has it all, superbly crafted songs, amazing precise finger skills on the guitar and a voice beautiful enough to melt you.

If you need any more proof, well, look at the video below and come along and see for yourself.  You’ll be unlikely to spend a better 4 quid this year!

Filling the support slot this week is Ian O’Regan from Swindon who has played several floorspots here at the club and proved his worth as a versatile player and does a good drop of welcome blues!

Louise Latham

Louise Latham

We are delighted to welcome Louise to the club for the first time and she’ll be playing our very own piano for you.  Louise’s sister Suzie has played here before and may well be joining her.

Gifted Welsh singer-songwriter Louise Latham’s evocative debut album Reclaimed was released on the 25th of June 2012 to critical acclaim.

It’s hard to believe that only twelve months ago Louise had contemplated giving up on her musical career until she met her present Dutch manager Maarten Sol. Having seen Louise perform at a venue in Holland, Maarten advised Louise that under no circumstances should she give up and together they created a fresh, new and successful collaboration.

Since the album’s release, Louise’s career is gaining substantial momentum in the UK and overseas. Reclaimed is enjoying significant airplay throughout the UK and North America. Erase Me, the first single, has been on several playlists including BBC Radio Wales, Manx Radio, Bro Radio and numerous community stations throughout the UK. In terms of film soundtracks, Old Soul has been signed to a British independent film company.

Taking the support slot this week will be Seend’s own Kirsty Clinch, a young up and coming singer / songwriter and guitarist.
